Some poker players use jokers as wild cards. They are often a sleight of hand technique that can be learned by a skilled mechanic poker player.<\/p>\n
Poker rules vary from one place to the next. Unless it is a formal, written rule, there are no universally accepted laws. However, there are a few basic rules that are expected.<\/p>\n
Before the first betting round begins, the dealer sets a value for the chips. The chips are usually made of plastic or ceramic. They are either red or blue. Dark-colored chips are worth two, four or five reds.<\/p>\n
Once the cards have been dealt, the dealer will give each player a chance to make a bet. If the player has an excellent hand, he or she can call or raise. Those who have a poor hand can bet or fold.<\/p>\n
